Engels An unbelievable borefest and this year's biggest torment. Sibling of Focus and the Now You See Me? Hardly. Instead of heists and scams, it's about interpersonal relationships and drama, where nothing interesting really happens for two hours. The characters didn't entertain me at all, the dialogues made me yawn, the pace is slow, there no suspense or entertainment, and the whole thing is so cold, detached and aloof. I didn't find the twists interesting or shocking at all. For me, a waste of time, I was not entertained by anything. 3/10. ()

Engels An odd film with an odd premise that doesn’t reveal much, either in the synopsis or during the movie itself. It starts off quite normal and mundane, only to gradually twist and turn into a supposed mystery. I wasn't hooked. It didn't really captivate me, and even the interesting cast couldn’t save it. ()

Engels That was a blast and another full score! Apple+'s blurb makes the film look like a tedious drama borefest, but that's more or less a complete fallacy, because Sharper is a suspenseful thriller full of twists and turns, incredible deception and intrigue following seemingly disparate people, but the deeper the film goes, the more connections we get, and at the very end it all comes together in a perfect picture. The film serves us twists and turns, well-acted characters and a convoluted story, and this whole bunch of thieves is pretty damn impressive. The momentum, the suspense, the A-list actors and the brilliant delivery of the entire story make Sharper an absolute top blast evoking the great Focus starring Will Smith, and I'm excited like a little kid again, because I love these movies. The official description was right about one thing though - nothing is as it seems. Great stuff! ()
