Engels A typical fairytale premise adapted to the needs and space-time of a classic Hollywood movie whose sincere character is one of the most beautiful in the history of cinema, despite and perhaps even thanks to the horror of the economic crisis of the time. Beautifully executed, with even better performances and an immensely appealing timeless story about how money is everything but nothing at the same time. Brilliant in its funny and intelligent dialogues, in its sensitively hinted at romantic line and in its honest portrayal of the clash of two worlds: unquenchable greed with natural kindness and solidarity, which specially deserves all the compliments that an ordinary viewer endowed with at least a modicum of social empathy and cinematic love can give. 100% ()

Engels I like Adam Sandler, and I enjoyed the remake of this film, but Frank Capra simply has charm and created such amazing films that it's hard for anything to compare to them. Mr. Deeds Goes to Town is a great comedy that includes serious moments, and everything is well-balanced to create a cohesive and effective whole. The comedy and drama harmonize well together. ()
