Lord Alan Cunningham (Anthony Steffen) is haunted by the memory of his dead wife Evelyn. He remarries in an attempt to recapture his fading sanity, but the arrival of his new wife spawns a series of sinister events. Bloodthirsty creatures strike at Sir Alan's family, killing them off one by one. As the violence escalates, Evelyn's tomb is discovered to be empty. Engels I quite liked this Giallo, though it’s a bit hard to root for a hero who spends the first half of the film killing prostitutes, but the interesting way the story unfolds kept my attention and I liked the climax, not as much as The Red Queen Kills Seven Times, but I liked it. 7/10 ()

Engels A pretty nice giallo, boasting a lot of beautiful naked women and an interesting setting, but nowadays this doesn't impress anyone too much. The murders are pretty bland and out of frame, only the scene with the foxes is nice, it’s excellent actually. Decent three stars. 60%. ()

Engels This is a relatively amusing Italian Giallo movie crossed with a gothic horror, in which we have an atypical protagonist who just inadvertently murders prostitutes, but which is almost irrelevant to the unfolding events of the rest of the movie. After all, this movie contains even more WTF moments, especially when it comes to the rather ridiculous ending. Taking it around and around, is The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave is quite a load of rubbish, in which a lot of things do not make much sense. However, I was still able to properly enjoy the midnight screening, and I was definitely not bored. Although Emilio Miraglia did not contribute as many movies to the Italian Giallo genre as other filmmakers, I liked both this movie and its subsequent movie of objectively better quality The Red Queen Kills Seven Times. Engels The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave is definitely among the better films I've seen in the giallo genre. And let's be honest, it's also due to the beautiful women who appear in it. They're natural, sexy, and exciting. But in this case, I was also intrigued by the story, where by the end of the film, you feel like you're watching something entirely different from what you started an hour and forty-five minutes ago. The finale then becomes a frantic game with both the characters and the audience. ()
