Engels Replacing Bud Spencer with a horse isn’t such a bad idea. It may not be much help at pub dances, but it eats less and doesn’t talk as much. An Enzo Barboni road movie that shows its class by transitioning between two scenes, where the master first scolds his tardy horse for flirting with mares, and then, with a cut, he’s already gazing into the neckline of the windswept waitress from the bistro. Unnecessary frugality from Robert Vaughn, and while working with Amish Construction Ltd., it only needed a song about ghosts.... ()

Engels Why four stars? Good question. It’s not such a great movie. Overall a regular type of story about an older guy and a young boy traveling from A to B. Nothing special. But the benefit for me was much greater. I first saw Renegade a long time ago. Like, a REAL long time. To tell the truth, it’s strange that I even remember it. It’s not often you remember things that took place sometime when you were in the second or third grade :-). So, the four is for the return to childhood days and for fun scenes where Terence Hill is just perfect. ()
