Tom Dobbs is de host van een late night talkshow op de televisie. Tijdens zijn show maakt hij grappen over onderwerpen uit de wereld en de politiek. Als grap besluit Dobbs zich verkiesbaar te stellen voor het presidentschap. Dobbs wint uiteindelijk de verkiezingen, maar weet niet dat dit komt doordat er met de computer is gerommeld. Robin Williams is absolutely brilliant in this film, and it also addresses quite an interesting and serious topic. I have to say I had a pretty good time with it. The way the ending was presented might be excessively moralistic, but I think it's quite unfortunate that this film stumbled overall. It's not a brilliant work, but some of the ideas presented here are worthwhile. It's a bit sad that what stands out the most here are Robin Williams' stand-up routines, which are indeed great. Isn't that the second time I've said that? Indeed it is.
