A reputable detective named Tul refuses a bribe from an influential politician. He is soon taken into custody and charged with murder. After serving his sentence, the aftertaste of disillusion never fades away. A policeman becomes an assassin. After his minimalist drama, Ploy, Pen-ek Ratanaruang returns to Febiofest with his film noir that considers corruption, and also the definition of justice. Not only is Headshot a perfectly balanced thriller, but also the Thai director upgrades it by overstepping genre boundaries, and by using a non-linear narrative line that is seemingly meaningless but provides the film with a unique tempo.
