Engels The ambition of this film is to make the audience root for an unlucky good guy who goes through some amusing mishaps only to finally manage to fulfil his dream and gain confidence. However, this is done without a single scene, character or any other creative filmmaking effort that would make you remember the film. The effect of the straightforward attack on your emotions will soon subside and leave you with no lasting impression. ()

Engels I remember when Paul Potts was a fresh YouTube sensation; not only the video, but also his life story. So I’m not surprised that the British came up with these script orgies and filmed a biographical movie about him. Every interesting story deserves to be told. And if you like small town streets (in this case in Wales) and English humor, then you can expect Boychoir to be the right fit for you. ()

Engels I finally got to know Paul Potts, the man who won the first season of Britain's Got Talent. It's an interesting story, filmed subtly with quite good acting performances, where Colm Meaney continues to show that smaller roles suit him well and he can immerse himself in them. A nice, gentle film that I liked. ()
