While I’m watching this, I’m imagining that I’m an American who weighs more than two hundred kilos. There’s nothing else in my room but a sofa, a TV and a heap of crap and ice-cream buckets, empty chips bags and fast food wrappers. It’s two in the afternoon, but my place is pitch black because the shutters are closed on the only window in the room. It’s where the TV is, so why the hell would I open the shutters in the first place. Since I have already lost track of all time, I watch this movie as the best thing that’s happened to me all day. That’s the kind of impression I got from this movie.

Paula Patton is beautiful and fun, plus this movie isn't as overtly silly as it seems; instead, it's quite a decent romantic comedy with very tolerable and subtle humor. Sure, it's basically a fairy tale about a princess looking for her prince, but why not? This is exactly the kind of movie you might occasionally enjoy unless you're outright opposed to romantic comedies. It’s average. At least it doesn't pretend to be something it's not, even though it doesn't completely avoid a bit of cheesy morality.
