It’s already a rule that every year we get one of this über-classic found-footage horror movies about a group of young documentarists going into the woods to investigate a local legend. Blair Witch Revival, this time with a rubber vampire, which in film looks even less scary than in the poster, which says something. Utterly devoid of ideas. I see no reason why anyone should watch it. ()
"The Black Water Vampire" is simply a product of the current era and the current horror market. To pick up a camera and find an abandoned place, slightly shake it from side to side, even faster in intense moments, then just wait for darkness and repeat everything, it's just a formula that can be easily imitated. Then it's only necessary to focus on the sounds, and the desired effect will come. As a viewer, I don't enjoy it, especially in the sense that these are films that plagiarize each other and bring absolutely spherical outcomes. ()
