Watching Season 2, I wasn’t sure if it would keep up the quality of the previous season, but it did. The creators maintained the great atmosphere and suspense from the first season, grafted it onto a very elaborate story with many converging plotlines, and let Titus Welliver as Hieronymus Bosch go through some personal turmoil while investigating, which is one of the reasons why I enjoyed the series so much. Even though the season doesn't have a frantic pace and often doesn't deal with the investigation at all, and focuses more on the characters' family issues, I wasn't bored for a moment. I can’t wait to see what Season 3 has to offer. ()
Season 2 of Bosch is surer of itself and trips to Vegas offer a sumptuous environment full of casinos and hookers. By coincidence, Trunk Music, which served as the main source of inspiration for season two, was the first Connelly book I read and I liked its adaptation into serial form. It even improved on some weaker parts of the book. The views from Bosch’s house are luxury. Bait in the form of a new lead on the mother’s murderer made a great finale. So we don’t lose the sour taste of pessimism at the end. I look forward to season three. ()
