Towards the end, the film loses a lot of its interesting aspects and the humor fades away, and it just becomes a Christmas necessity. But up until then, it's a pretty good Christmas comedy, mainly benefiting from the fact that a great actor was cast in the role of Santa. Jim Broadbent is excellent, and his gangsta style totally got me, to the point that I had to show the scene to everyone.
