A musical that mainly wins you over with melodies that are simply familiar and beautiful. Carmen Jones, as the name suggests, draws inspiration from the opera "Carmen," but it also features other well-known melodies. The actress in the lead role is beautiful, but I found her singing to be the true highlight of the film. Otherwise, it's still a story about how difficult it is to choose the right person and how satisfying it can be to tell that to the other one.
