Die Hexenprinzessin

I was drawn to this fairy tale by the photos showing its stunning Czech castles and ruins as filming locations, and the result didn’t disappoint. It’s clear that the Germans have a knack for fantasy, even if they don’t do it often. They did a pretty good job. They could’ve skipped the super cheesy sledding scene at the end, and the occasional modern pop-rock soundtrack didn’t quite fit. But the story was great, and Charlotte Krause was lovely to watch.
